My first embroidery ever in my whole entire life

The cold kept everybody inside today. Nobody even ventured out for coffee! In short, i got an early mark from work, came home, and spent the afternoon working on my first ever embroidery.

I got the pattern from a blog called badbirds. I wanted something simple to start with, but i think you really can use any design or drawing you want.


Next time i would like to try some variations of stitches. I think i've got the backstitch pretty much down, but his little heart would look sweet filled in.

Now that he's done, i'm not quite sure what to do with him... I do want to try and tackle a mini quilt one of these days, perhaps he could make a cameo appearance.
